The Molo Street Parade Party in Rimini
As the sun goes down over the blue Adriatic sea, the festivities begin! And what a party it is! The Molo Street Parade Party in the world renowned resort town of Rimini is known as the official start of the Italian summer party season.
Now in its 4th year, this all-night spectacle combines music and dance with the local specialty, the grilled sardine, attracting more than 200,000 revelers on the last Saturday in June. Transforming a kilometer-long stretch of the famous harbor pier into a bustling “party mile”, a dozen fishing boats bobbing in the water served as temporary consoles for 50 international top DJs spinning a vast variety of sounds to dance to – from house to rock, pop to indie, ballroom to afro. Additionally, sensational outdoor sports presentations such as BMX and parcour, freestyle skiers and snowboarders launching themselves high above the waves entertained the enthusiastic crowd of music lovers, tourists, locals and young festival fans.
Dancing from sunset to sunrise to music that never stops requires refueling. To make sure the energy level stayed high, local fishermen in collaboration with local chefs turned the pier into the largest “al Fresco” eatery in Italy, serving grilled sardines throughout the night. As you may have guessed, these irresistibly crispy, salty little morsels pair absolutely perfectly with a cold, refreshing Warsteiner. Luckily, you never had to look far to find one of the Warsteiner beer stands. So, party on!
