2013 BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER
The countdown is ON - the final phase of the 2013 BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER has begun! Now in its 4th year, this international art competition offers young emerging artists a chance to gain a foothold in the international art market.
Created in 2010 by the Warsteiner Brewery in conjunction with the BLOOOM – the converging art show held during the ART.FAIR in Cologne, Germany – the BLOOOM Award quickly grew from a national event in its first year to an international powerhouse that attracts scores of artists from around the globe. This year’s 1,125 entries came from 55 countries, reflecting the interface of art and creative economy and blurring the lines between the fine and performing arts, design, music, fashion, urban art, film, architecture and literature.
The Top Ten finalists have already been selected, and the final step for the international jury headed by Catharina Cramer, managing partner of the Warsteiner Group and patron of the BLOOOM Award, focuses on selecting the 2013 winner and the two runner-ups.
Considering the exceptional quality of this year’s ten finalists, this task won’t be easy. Take a look here– who is your favorite?
On October 30, 2013, the wait will be over! In a special ceremony held in the historic Staatenhaus at the Rheinpark in Cologne, Warsteiner will crown the winners of the 2013 BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER. The works of the three winners and the remaining seven finalists will be presented to the public during a special exhibit as part of the BLOOOM until November 3, 2013.
