The Blooom Award by Warsteiner Presents the 2015 Top Ten Finalists
With a record-breaking number of applicants from around the globe, the 6th Blooom Award by Warsteiner has become an international powerhouse for attracting young and emerging artists to present their creations to an international jury with the hope of winning this coveted award.
The five-member jury consisting of Catharina Cramer (CEO of the Warsteiner Group), Yasha Young (director and curator of Urban Nation), Jim Avignon (artist), Joko Winterscheidt (media host and winner of the Grimme award) and Walter Gehlen (director and artistic director of Art.Fair and Blooom) once again had their hands full with selecting ten exceptional artists out of the 1,500 submissions from 75 countries, some from as far away as Thailand, Kenya, Israel and the United States.
But they did it! We have our Top 10 finalists! Their works will be on display during the BLOOOM – the converging art show in Cologne from September 24 – 27, which annually attracts more than 35,000 visitors. And on vernissage night, September 23, 2015, we will find out who of these ten outstanding talents will be called to the podium as the 2015 winner of the Blooom Award by Warsteiner. Hosted by Anja Backhaus, the award ceremony will take place in Halls 1 & 2 of the Kölnmesse Convention Center where the winner will receive a 1-year mentorship and a trip to Art Basel Miami Beach.
With its annual Blooom Award, Warsteiner affirms its passionate commitment to the arts by offering young creative minds a platform to introduce their cutting-edge art to a broader audience and to gain a foothold in the competitive, international art market.
