Warsteiner Electric Thursday Party
Last Saturday, the legendary Tempelhofer Field in Berlin was transformed into the racetrack for the Formula E. On Thursday night before the race, the Warsteiner Brewery pumped up the action for the first formula circuit for racing cars powered by electric engines with the Electric Thursday Party at the Haubentaucher Club in Berlin. In this brand new, eye-popping venue, the family-owned enterprise from the German Sauerland region set the stage for this motorsport spectacle par excellence, just as it did in Buenos Aires and Miami earlier in the season with a mind-blowing premium party.
“With this innovative racing series, we continue our long-standing engagement with motor sport,” explains Thorsten Terlohr, Head of Marketing Communications of the Warsteiner Group. “Its previous exposure on the international stage elevated the Warsteiner Electric Thursday Party to a seminal event of the global Formula E racing series – one that does not only attract motorsport fans,” he adds. A definite highlight at the evening in the Haubentaucher Club was the interview with the team drivers Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi, charmingly conducted by Lena Siep. Hans-Jürgen Abt, owner and team chief of the ABT Sportsline racing team was also present at the Electric Thursday Party – together with Evil Jared (Bloodhound Gang), Jo Groebel (media consultant), Olaf Heine (acclaimed photographer), Silvio Heinevetter (Füchse Berlin Handball), Ralf Kretschmar (actor), Sven Martinek (actor), Alec Völkel (BossHoss), Constantin von Jascheroff (actor), and many more.
A high-energy DJ set, mouthwatering buffet and, of course, a chilled Warsteiner provided the perfect atmosphere for this dynamic mix of motorsport and music in Berlin’s capital scene.
Hans-Jürgen Abt, CEO ABT Sportsline comments: “We are proud to enter into the Formula E era of motorsport with the Slogan “Do It Right.” Warsteiner is not only our sponsor, but also lives the partnership with the Formula E and our team. The cold refreshing beer after a successful day of racing belongs to this event just like the kick-off to the weekend with the Electric Thursday Party, which has become a fixed institution on the Thursday evening before racing. Nobody in the Formula E family wants to miss this event, that’s for sure!”
