All entries will be judged by an international jury, composed of the BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER patron and managing partner of the Warsteiner Group, Catharina Cramer; the gallerist and journalist, Yasha Young; the art director of the ART.FAIR and BLOOOM, Walter Gehlen; the famous German photographer, Oliver Rath; and the renowned street artist, Stefan Strumbel. The winners will be presented during an award ceremony in Cologne on October 30, 2013. Since the goal of this competition is to promote young artists by helping them gain a foothold in the international art market, the first place winner will enjoy year-long mentoring filled with tips, know-how and contacts by one of the jury members.

As official partner of the European Tour, the brewery from the Sauerland is represented at the BMW International Open 2013 with an exclusive Warsteiner Lounge as well as a König Ludwig Biergarten along the course, which is located adjacent to the headquarters of BMW in Munich. “We look forward to our partnership at this prestigious golf event and our presence at the only tournament of the European Tour in Germany,” explains Thorsten Terlohr, Head of Sponsoring and Events Warsteiner Brewery.

For Warsteiner, the past year was a very successful season. “More than 150,000 visitors experienced Warsteiner directly on location at the tournaments and millions of spectators participated via various media,” says Terlohr. As in 2012, a special focus will be on the BMW PGA Championship, which will be held from May 23-26 at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water near London, followed by the KLM Open from September 12-15 at the Kennermers Golf & Country Club in the Dutch town of Zandvoort near Amsterdam.

Looking back at 2012, more than 800 artists from 29 nations and six continents participated in the 2012 BLOOOM Award. As expected, the majority of the entries came from Germany and the Netherlands as the two original countries of the BLOOOM Award. But artists from China, Australia, North and South America as well as from all over Europe also submitted their creations.

Bright Tradeshow - Monster Skateboard Magazine

Last but not least, the booth of Monster Skateboard Magazine, Europe’s longest running skate board publication was well supported by WARSTEINER at the Street Wear Trade Fair Bright.

As late as last year, it was not clear if this event, beloved by top athletes and snow sports fans, would take place. To satisfy the requirements of hosting this top international event, a new judges’ tower as well as permanently installed flood lights were needed.  Through a donation drive by the Willingen ski club and the generous support of the Warsteiner Brewery with its initiative “Beer for the Jump” (“Bier für die Schanze”), the finances for the necessary modifications were finalized just in time.

From February 8-10, up to 30,000 fans will gather in the world cup stadium at the Mühlenkopf-Jump, which today is not only the largest but thanks to the recent remodeling, now one of the most modern ski jumps in Europe. And there will be another first in the Stryck valley this year: For the first time, the FIS World Cup will be held on Carnival weekend! The ski club and the Warsteiner Brewery look forward to welcoming many enthusiastic revelers and ski fans in wild costumes, cheering for their favorites like Simon Ammann, Richard Freitag and Severin Freund.

So, this world renowned ski jumping event in Willingen will once again be a joyous and colorful party, where victories are celebrated with WARSTEINER.
